Kay & Burton Concierge partner ‘Charcuterie to You’ was founded in 2020 by Allegra Rotella, blending her passions for food and creativity into edible works of art.
‘Charcuterie to You’ is a Melbourne-based company that provides lavish grazing boxes, boards and tables, for occasions from intimate gatherings or celebrations with family and friends, to corporate events and media/product launches.
Source: Charcuterie To YouAllegra’s love of visual art and a passion for fine food grew from being raised in a family with 47 years of experience in the food and wine industry and almost yearly trips to Italy in her childhood. On leaving school she was inspired to combine these twin passions into a business providing a curated selection of delicacies to be enjoyed during Melbourne’s long-running lockdowns.
‘Charcuterie to You’ has recently partnered with the team at Kay & Burton Concierge, a curated network of qualified professionals, skilled-and-reliable tradespeople and creative talent to meet all their clients' property-related needs.
LUXURY LIST WEEKEND spoke with ‘Charcuterie to You’ Founder Allegra Rotella about the business.
What was the inspiration behind 'Charcuterie To You'?
I had just completed VCE and was considering ideas for a business that melded my love of fine food and my passion for art and creativity.
Source: Charcuterie To YouGrowing up in my family’s award-winning supermarket, I have spent my life surrounded by exquisite produce. This all made its way to our table, to be enjoyed and discussed. There was not much I hadn’t tried by the time I was five years old! Traveling to Italy almost yearly also strengthened my passion for food and art, so I knew I wanted to be able to use my hands and my love of art in whatever I was meant to do.
Source: Charcuterie To YouThis was also the first year of the COVID-19 lockdown in Melbourne, so the idea for a business had to take this into consideration. But who doesn’t like great food?
So “Charcuterie to You” was launched in April 2020.
Out of lockdown I get to do what I love best - designing edible works of art in the form of grazing experiences to take your tastebuds on a journey.

I curate culinary experiences in the form of grazing boxes, boards and tables, all styled with the freshest ingredients.
The selection on offer is limited only by imagination.
What attracted you to join Kay & Burton Concierge’s team of trusted referral partners?
Kay and Burton is highly respected in the real estate industry. It made sense to partner “Charcuterie to You” with a brand that also considers the highest quality at the forefront of everything they do, from product to service.

The Charcuterie boxes initially provided a curated selection of delicacies to be enjoyed during the seemingly eternal lockdown. The offering has now grown to include sweet boxes, chocolate covered strawberries, gingerbread people, picnic hampers (with wine), vegan alternatives, and customised options.
Source: Charcuterie To YouOnce lockdowns eased, many of my clients asked me to transform the boxes onto their tables and work spaces for a greater appreciation of everything I offered. I knew I needed to provide something different to all other grazing table offerings, so out of this I created an elegant, simple and clean/fresh looking grazing table that could suit any environment, whether that be for a wedding, birthday, private dining event or simply the boys’ “knock-off drinks” and food Friday night after work! It had to work for every scenario, and I quickly found out that it did!

Where do you source your supplies?
Based on our product knowledge from our family’s 47 years in the food and wine industry, all our produce is sourced from the very best suppliers, both locally and internationally. Where possible we work with sustainable food producers.
Source: Charcuterie To YouWhat is the most unusual/interesting brief you’ve been given? Did you take it on?
I had a client request for me to set up a grazing table for one person. This was the one time had to say no! I didn’t want my client to waste their money, so I convinced them that a grazing box would be just as beautiful for one person.
What geographic areas does Charcuterie To You cover?
We service all of Melbourne Metro, and we also go to most suburbs. Because we only take one grazing table event per weekend, we like to focus our time and energy on that one client. My belief is that quality is far better than quantity, so with that in mind we don’t mind travelling a little!
Source: Charcuterie To YouWhat do you enjoy in your down-time?
Spending time with family and friends, going out for dinner (there’s that love of food again!), travelling. But to be honest, my most treasured moments are just great conversation with my loved ones and living life!
