Recognising a gap in the market, Michael Simon created Carcierge, a premium automotive concierge service that takes over the maintenance and management of members’ vehicles in inner city Melbourne.
Carcierge is Melbourne's premier automotive concierge service, managing any vehicle-related request, query or issue in a timely and discrete manner.
Carcierge was established in 2013 by Michael Simon, who recognised a gap in the market for a premium automotive service for everyday vehicles.

WILLIAMS MEDIA spoke with Founder Michael Simon about the Carcierge business.
What was the inspiration for Carcierge?
I was working in a supercar club business in my 20’s, and while the high net worth clients were enjoying the use of the club’s supercars, they would leave their daily vehicles with me (in most cases, equally as nice cars!). I noticed their personal cars were often neglected - in need of washing, wheel scrape repairs and servicing. The owners, being busy and successful professionals, simply didn’t have the time to manage it. There was a very clear gap in the market for an automotive service for our everyday vehicles, that would be a time saving, luxury convenience. So I created Carcierge to fill that niche. I’ve always had a love of service, and an interest in cars so it really was a perfect fit.

Carcierge is a premium automotive concierge service that takes over the maintenance and management of our members’ vehicles – so basically, members have us on speed dial for anything and everything car related.
Image: Carcierge's fleet of Smart cars allow them to support members at short notice. Source: CarciergeWe give our members and their household access to our exclusive concierge services which include filling with fuel, regular washing and detailing to keep their cars immaculate all year round; booking and managing minor and major services, repairs, registration renewals, insurance claims and renewals, Vic Roads appointments, key battery replacements, new tyres, smaller tasks such as fitting snow tyres, baby seats… we also assist with sourcing and buying new cars, selling existing vehicles, managing toll accounts, fines, licencing, vehicle storage and so much more. Our members benefit from our trade pricing, and the savings we pass on to our members by using our trusted repairers and industry connections often exceed the original membership price.
Source: CarciergeWe send monthly invoices for the fuel, washes, services and expenses incurred during the month; and we discreetly work around our member’s schedules to ensure they are not interrupted. Members simply have the luxury of enjoying their pristine cars, without any of the work involved – we work so they don’t have to.
Source: CarciergeWhat attracted you to join Kay & Burton Concierge’s team of trusted referral partners?
A number of Kay and Burton executives are members of our service and we share similar clientele. Kay and Burton uphold the same high standard of quality service and work as we do, so we felt it was a good match.

Up to 6 per household.
What is most unexpected service you provide?
There are many! We always check the console and glovebox for parking tickets and fines – we take those and pay them, to ensure they aren’t forgotten and incur further fees. We also love garage maintenance – we pride ourselves on that added extra attention to detail, so we have a leaf blower and cleaning products, and if, when returning a clean car back to our member’s garage, the leaves need to be blown out or a quick clean up is required, we make sure to do that.
Source: CarciergeWhat service is the most popular among your members?
The services we perform most commonly are car washing and filling with fuel. And administrative tasks – paying registrations, insurance quotes and managing renewals, licencing, buying /selling, all the paperwork and time consuming admin tasks of car ownership, we take care of daily.
Source: CarciergeWhat is the most ‘interesting’ request you’ve been given?
We were once asked to arrange and manage the international freight transport of a member’s car over to Germany, so that they could drive it for a few weeks whilst on their European holiday – they had always dreamed of driving on the Autobahn and then throughout the French and Italian countryside. Of course we arranged it, they had the time of their lives, and then we brought the car back a fortnight later!
What geographic areas does Carcierge cover?
Inner city Melbourne.
Source: CarciergeAs a car enthusiast, what is your favourite Make and Model of car and why?
I’m a bit of an old man at heart, so anything large and luxurious is right up my alley – think Bentley Continentals, Range Rover Vogues and Mercedes S Class.
Source: CarciergeWhat do you enjoy in your down-time?
Spending time with my family, weekends away enjoying a nice glass of wine, and catching up with friends.
