“In high end homes neither the vendor nor the purchaser wants hundreds of people through their personal space or to have people say ‘Oh, I loved your bathroom, lounge room’ at a dinner party,” he explained.
“In the end we had three people all competing. The purchasers didn’t want to wait til the EOI closing date and secured the home prior to closing.”

The sprawling 1,559sqm masterpiece was designed by New Zealand architect Lawrence Sumich, of Sumich Chaplin, delivering international influences including a feature bar that references the writers room bar in the iconic Raffles Hotel, Singapore.
Tyson told LUXURY LIST WEEKEND the home was purchased by a SEQ family who loved everything about the property.
“They said they’d seen a lot of lovely homes and stayed in a lot of nice hotels and lodges and this home was by far the best,” Tyson said.

“Using the best architects in NZ with the design reflecting a luxury private lodge is something rarely seen in Australia and certainly the first in Brisbane,” he said.
“Though there are more expensive homes along the river, the quality, the design, the thoughtfulness and bringing the original vision and concept to the full execution, make this possibly the best house in Brisbane.”
