24 Martin Street Hunters Hill sold by Lee Dowdall and Stephanie O’Sullivan of The Agency was on the market for the first time in over 60 years.

This waterfront Hunters Hill home overlooking the Lane Cove River has been sold by Lee Dowdall and Stephanie O’Sullivan of The Agency.

The original residence was a cherished abode, held by the same family who built the home in the late 1950’s.

Speaking to LUXURY LIST WEEKEND, Lee Dowdall said there were 79 inspections conducted during the 80-day campaign, including 2 virtual inspections before the property was sold for a confidential sale price just above $6 million.

“The property attracted a wide range of interest due to the unique street-to-waterfront position on a commanding 1,385sqm. Blocks like this rarely become available that offer endless scope to develop and capitalise on further,” Lee explained to LUXURY LIST WEEKEND.

“The buyer was drawn to the large parcel of land, north facing aspect and intends on rebuilding in the future.”

Lee told LUXURY LIST WEEKEND recent strong sales in the area are impacting the market.

“We continue to see strong demand and interest for quality property in the local area, however, in some instances, the days on market are taking a little longer to secure the right buyer,” he said.

“Whilst the market mostly as a whole remains price sensitive, there have been some strong recent sales which is having a positive impact on the market as owners and buyers have somewhat adjusted to the change in the market that we have witnessed over the past few months.”
