R&F Australian Vice President Thomas Chiu said the completion this month of the first stage of the group’s masterplanned Live City development at Footscray in Melbourne had capped a standout year for the company.
“We are committed to a long-term presence in Australia, combining our global experience with strong local partnerships to create truly inspired developments,’’ said Mr Chiu.

R&F Property Australia is part of R&F Properties, a highly respected global property development group that also has interests in China, USA, Malaysia, Cambodia and the United Kingdom.
Established in 1994, the group has completed more than 420 projects in 140 locations worldwide.
In Australia, the completed projects include the $500 million Brisbane 1 Towers at South Brisbane, which includes the tallest building on Brisbane’s southside.
It features 608 apartments and a wide range of exclusive resident amenities set across three towers of up to 33 storeys and offering some of the city’s most stunning views.
Brisbane 1 was completed ahead of schedule and set a record for Hutchinson Builders with 80 levels constructed in only 23 months.
R&F’s second Brisbane development, the luxury Lotus Tower at Kangaroo Point, was completed late last year and includes 200 premier apartments, penthouses and stunning street level townhomes.

Lotus Tower provides an unprecedented level of amenity for the suburb with facilities including a huge rooftop sub-tropical retreat with three separate dining areas, barbecues and spa to complement an infinity edge pool, golf simulator, gym and children’s play areas.
The newly completed residential first stage of Live City meanwhile, is part of an $880 million vision to revitalise the historic Kinnears Ropeworks site in the heart of Footscray, which was recently named the world’s 13th ‘coolest neighbourhood’.
Live City is one of the most significant urban regeneration projects in Australia and will ultimately feature eight residential and mixed-used buildings including 1,450 apartments and 10,000 metres of commercial space.
The first 15-level tower follows a $5.6 million restoration of the first heritage building at the site last April.
Mr Chiu said he anticipated the next 12 months to be just as busy for R&F, with construction getting under way on a 25-story luxury apartment building called Prospect in the Melbourne growth suburb of Box Hill.
He said planning for the second stage of Live City was also well advanced, together with two additional residential developments in the Greater Brisbane region.
“Each of our developments improves and add value to its location and the surrounding area," said Mr Chiu.
"Our Australian projects to date share a common theme of revitalising and reactivating either disused or underutilised urban spaces to deliver vibrant new liveable communities that everyone can enjoy.
“The past 12 months has been a very significant period for R&F Property Australia and an exciting opportunity to showcase our brand and deliver high-quality projects.
“As a new entrant to the Australian market, we have focused on establishing a strong presence in Melbourne and Brisbane, which are forecast to continue to grow strongly over the next decade and beyond.’’
