McGregor Coxall will develop a 30 year masterplan for the site of the Castle Hill showground, transforming it into a primary civic space.
A 30 year vision of the iconic Castle Hill Showground site in north-western Sydney will see it be transformed into a primary civic space for the surrounding community.
The masterplan of the project will include a 15-hectare entertainment and recreational hub, providing a place full of activity, adventure and plenty of amenities, in close proximity to the new Metro station.
Designer McGregor Coxall won a public tender process in March 2019 with its vision to retain the Showground for the community.

The company is working in collaboration with HillPDA and MbM to establish a commercially viable framework. Architects CHROFI and project engineers Cardno will also work on the project.
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne said Castle Hill Showground, located within the Showground Precinct, will become an even more vibrant and well-connected neighbourhood thanks to the opening of the Sydney Metro Northwest.
"We can also expect an additional 9,000 homes and the creation of 2,300 jobs as a result of this new transport link," said Dr Byrne.
"As the Showground adjoins the station, there is a fantastic opportunity for the 130-year-old site to gain leverage from the new infrastructure and substantial growth that is forecast within the Precinct.”
