After 21 years at its Edgecliff location, McGrath's head office is relocating to Pyrmont
McGrath Limited has moved their Corporate Headquarters to a 1,745 sqm office space in Pyrmont, as an important pillar in its turnaround strategy.
In line with this move, it has also rebased its sales and property management teams previously operating out of its former Edgecliff location to both Double Bay and Surry Hills.
McGrath CEO Geoff Lucas said the team were excited about relocating to the Pyrmont area.
“We are committed to creating the best possible environment for our people to interact in a user-friendly atmosphere with increased flexibility to work efficiently," said Mr Lucas.
"Equally we will encourage our growing network to utilise this premium and aesthetically designed HO workspace as a hub for company interaction.
“This signifies a fresh new energy and approach to doing business in today’s ever changing environment."
Mr Lucas said flexibility, collaboration and efficiency will increase productivity to the benefit of their clients.
"McGrath has a continued focus on technology and innovation, and whilst not a technology business per se, to immerse ourselves in that hub is an important move for our company.” said Mr Lucas.
The heritage-listed former woolshed is located in a vibrant creative, entertainment and innovation hub on the fringe of Sydney’s CBD.
In August 2019 the area was earmarked by the NSW Government in their transformation plans for Pyrmont and the Western Harbour precinct, noting its importance as an iconic destination within Sydney.
The establishment of offices in Double Bay and Surry Hills is a considered move by the company as it continues to focus on building more efficient larger teams that are immersed in their local communities with a stronger visible presence.
“Our purpose-built 272 sqm Double Bay office will house a team of 40 when it opens in January 2020." said Mr Lucas.
"Equally we will have a team located in a co-work space in Surry Hills.
"As a company we are fully committed to creating the best possible environments for our teams to list, sell and manage real estate. In line with this, we will ensure that our agents are best placed to efficiently deliver the best results for our clients, and having access to the best technology available is part of that mix.”
McGrath’s Double Bay team have relocated to serviced Double Bay offices until the new office is completed in January 2020.
