McGrath Estate Agents has announced that top eastern suburbs specialist Albert Sassoon has joined the agency as part of the Edgecliff team.
McGrath Estate Agents has bolstered its presence in Sydney's eastern suburbs with the appointment of Albert Sassoon and his team.
Servicing clients in Vaucluse, Dover Heights, Bellevue Hill, Rose Bay and North Bondi, Mr Sassoon has built up a reputation as an area specialist for premium properties.
His career within the industry spans close to two decades, most recently as Principal of Belle Property Double Bay (2014-2019) and prior to that eight years as Principal of Laing and Simmons Bondi.
Mr Sassoon said he was attracted to McGrath for a number of reasons.
“It was an easy decision knowing that I would have access to great resources, training and coaching," he said.
"I believe ongoing education is incredibly important to anyone’s success.
But most importantly, I would not be competing with a selling Principal, and part of a well-capitalised company.”
Mr Sassoon's sales record in 2019 includes achieving $5.75 million for 30 Northland Road, Bellevue Hill; $4.1 million for 26 Macdonald Street, Vaucluse.
He has also managed to sell 10/2-4 Nott Avenue Bondi twice within a two year period – achieving $5 million in September 2018, and $4.5 million in November 2016.
McGrath veteran Adrian Bo, who is now immersed in the company’s recruitment of key agents said the company new recruit "embodied" the style of agent it sought to partner with.
"I’ve known Albert for 17 years and have the utmost respect for his approach to real estate," he said.
"Not only is he a skilled negotiator, he is authentic and equally passionate about servicing his clients so they can make informed decisions.
"Albert has established quality relationships within his local area and very active within his local community, whether it is at his kid’s school, or following his much-loved footy team.”
“Importantly, he comes to McGrath with a strong market profile, database and a good support team, including a young and dynamic associate agent, Michael Aubusson."
Commenting on the local market, Mr Sassoon said while there had been a fundamental lack of supply, particularly in the $3 to $7 million price bracket this year, buyer demand remained strong.
"My buyers tend not to be discretionary, but are upgraders or downsizers that are keen to transact," he said.
"Due to limited availability, some buyers are making compromises to secure a home due to a change in circumstances, or the need to be closer to school catchment zones. At some point, we expect the equilibrium to shift.”
