Handpicked from a shortlist of over 200, the 12 winners of the 2018 Australian Interior Design Awards represent the benchmark for interior design in Australia.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, the winners for the 2018 Australian Interior Design Awards (AIDA) have been announced.
Presented at a gala celebration in Sydney on Friday, more than 500 of Australia's most esteemed interior design and architecture practitioners and professionals were in attendance.
Featuring convention-challenging workplaces, meticulously detailed retail spaces, and game-changing public designs, this year's winners elevate Australia's design reputation to new heights.

The jury said the way in which the project challenged the temporality of contemporary design was a key factor in securing the Premier Award for Australian Interior Design.
Dubbed a "genuine laboratory", the uniqueness of Space & Time lies in its ability to morph into a restaurant, cafe, gallery, showroom, office, function center or workspace.
"This project is as unexpected as it is rigorous, and its design sets a new precedent for encouraging innovation and not merely copying what has been done before," the 2018 jury said.
Meanwhile, the awards named Ritz & Ghougassian as the ones to watch, after receiving the 2018 award for Emerging Interior Design Practice. Only in its second anniversary, the jurors praised Gilad and Jean-Paul's firm noting that it was, "particularly refreshing in an age of social media that its co-directors are designing by principles, not Pinterest."
