The Brisbane apartment tower 443 Queen Street, which features subtropical design and units promoted as 'houses in the sky', will close its display office on 23 July, as the developers prepare for construction.
The display office for 43-storey, Brisbane apartment tower 443 Queen Street will close on 23 July, and construction will begin shortly afterwards.
The development is the first tower on Brisbane's CBD riverfront to be built in more than a decade.
A key feature of the apartments is their only having one adjoining wall, leading to their promotion as 'apartments in the sky'.
The building has been designed specifically for Brisbane's subtropical climate by local architecture firm, Architectus, and Singapore group, WOHA. The tower fans out around a central core, delivering light, shade, and ventilation to each apartment.
The tower is raised on columns above abstract forms inspired by the natural topography of the site, blending the buildings with the river's edge. The site will allow pedestrian access to the riverfront.
Half of the apartments have been sold, with three four-bedroom apartments selling only this week.
The developer is Cbus, and the project is being marketed through CBRE.
