Adam Sparkes returns to McGrath to run their Projects division.
McGrath Estate Agents has appointed Adam Sparkes as General Manager of McGrath Projects, making another return to the firm by a former employee.
"Adam started his real estate career with us in 1998 and I’ve watched from the sidelines as he has developed outstanding leadership skills and achieving great success for his clients. I’m delighted to welcome him back," said Chief Executive John McGrath.
Over the past 12 years, Sparkes has worked with Brookfield Multiplex, Frasers Property Australia, Crown Group and Lendlease. He was instrumentally involved with the successful planning and marketing of the Central Park development in Chippendale, personally overseeing in excess of 1,000 sales.
Most recently, he was involved in the sell-out of the second stage of Darling Square in Sydney, as well as overseeing the sales success across Toorak Park in Armadale, Melbourne and the Victoria Harbour Precinct in Melbourne.
"Investors are still active," said Sparkes of the current market. "They are perhaps taking a slightly more cautious approach, but for the right project they are happy to commit. A common thread amongst all buyers is they are looking for high quality developments offered with design excellence and good amenity. Location continues to remain important with a preference to city centres or close proximity to active retail, education and transport hubs for outer lying projects."
Sparkes will lead a team of 63 at McGrath Projects, which includes 44 sales agents. McGrath said the firm is committed to expanding its Projects division across Queensland, Victoria, ACT and New South Wales.
