The castle where Grace Kelly and Cary Grant filmed the Hitchcock classic is for sale.
The Castle of la Croix des Gardes is on the market for US$53.5 million.
The castle has 13 bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a four-bedroom guest house, staff quarters, an infinity pool, and a Turkish lodge. The manicured gardens have specatcular views of the Bay of Cannes. The castle's large windows allow natural light to flood into the interiors.
The 24-acre property has been held by the owners of Perrier water for 56 years, and is in immaculate condition.
The castle was the setting for the famous masquerade ball scene in 'To Catch a Thief'.
'To Catch a Thief' was the last film Kelly made with Hitchcock. Kelly retired from acting at age 26 to marry Prince Rainier III of Monaco and begin official duties. She was tragically killed at age 52 in a car accident.
The Castle of la Croix des Gardes is being marketed through Cote d'Azur Sotheby's International Realty.
