Community consultation period opens for Mirvac/Comm Bank plans.
The NSW government has today made public a proposal by Mirvac and the Commonwealth Bank to redevelop Australian Technology Park at Eveleigh.
The Department of Planning and Environment is seeking community feedback on a proposal to construct three mixed use buildings ranging from four to nine storeys high and including retail, commercial, community space, child care uses, gym and above ground parking.
The plan involves demolishing the existing car park areas, and undertaking landscaping, road and public domain works throughout the precinct.
The CBA will become the anchor tenant at Australian Technology Park, which the Mirvac Group-led consortium will acquire and redevelop by 2020. Commonwealth Bank will also partner with Mirvac and Centuria to establish a new $2.1 million Tech Incubation Fund to encourage technology startups to set up at the site.
"Community consultation is an integral part of the planning process and the applicant will have to respond to the feedback we receive," a department spokesperson said.
