Another 1,560 properties will go to auction in Melbourne this Saturday, giving buyers excellent opportunities, says REIV CEO, Enzo Raimondo.
2015 has been a bumper year for property auctions.
Melbourne achieved a record number of auctions for a single day last Saturday, with 1,648 properties going under the hammer.
Sydney similarly had a bumper day, with 1,065 properties going to auction.
Enzo Raimondo, REIV CEO, said that 39,380 properties have gone to auction in Victoria in the year to 1 December, 5% more than for the same period last year.
Raimondo said that 1,560 properties are going to auction this Saturday in Melbourne, creating excellent opportunities for buyers.
"With the high number of auctions, the clearance rate is starting to moderate, which offers buyers excellent opportunities," he said.
"Melbourne property buyers are really spoiled for choice, with auctions in more than 350 suburbs in the next fortnight," said Raimondo.
