Auctioneers from around Australia and New Zealand battle it out in Melbourne this week.
Sixteen auctioneers from both sides of the Tasman will battle it out in Melbourne this week as part of the annual Australasian Auctioneering Competition.
The competition has been won by New Zealand the last four consecutive years, and REIV chief executive officer, Enzo Raimondo, said the local and interstate auctioneers will be working hard to reclaim the title on their home turf. "With leading auctioneers from each state and New Zealand, this year’s competition will be hotly contested," said Raimondo.
Auctioneers will be tested on their knowledge of best practice and legislation as well as their performance in a simulated auction situation, complete with complex bidding sequences and questions. Detailed information on the competition, held at Crown Conference Centre this Wednesday and Thursday, is available at www.auctionchampionships.com.au
