Actor Jeff Bridges has listed his family home in California for $US29.5 million.
Actor Jeff Bridges, best known for playing Jeff "The Dude" Lebowski, has listed his family's 19.5-acre estate in Montecito, California for $US29.5 million.
The actor's wife, Susan Bridges, told The Wall Street Journal that the property includes a five-bedroom, five-bathroom Tuscan-inspired home built in 1988, a music recording studio, guesthouses, a small vineyard, a greenhouse for orchids and her husband’s aloe vera tree collection. "They look like Dr. Seuss plants," she said.
While living at the home, Bridges made some of his best known films, including 'The Big Lebowski,' 'True Grit' and 'Crazy Heart,' for which he won the 2010 Academy Award for Best Actor. He has also recorded some of his own songs in the home studio.
The couple purchased the property in 1994 from musician Kenny Loggins. They are selling it to downsize to a smaller home in the area, said Mrs. Bridges.
It is listed with Suzanna Perkins of Sotheby's International Realty.
