Historic home set to be opened to the public for functions.
An historic family mansion in Adelaide’s western suburbs has just been sold for the first time since it was built 135 years ago. The mid-Victorian sandstone villa at 12-14 Weetunga Street, Fulham, and an adjoining three-bedroom dwelling was sold to a private buyer for $2.5 million by Ray White Henley Beach’s Patrick O’Flaherty.
The home was owned by the White family, one of the earliest settlers in South Australia. Over three generations of the White family have lived in the home.
"The sellers are delighted that this historic, state heritage home which was built by Samuel White will continue to be treasured," said O'Flaherty. "The buyer loved the historical aspect of the villa which remains in keeping with its original character." The buyer plans to extend the home, which is situated on approximately 5,113 sqm, and open it to the public for functions and tours.
