LJ Hooker opens West Australian offices and poaches top sales agent.
LJ Hooker is a powerhouse on the east coast of Australia, and is now pushing west by opening offices in Western Australia and nabbing the state's top sales agent, Vivien Yap. Yap has built a reputation as the leading agent in Perth's prestigious western suburbs, and is leaving the Acton Real Estate Group to join LJ Hooker as Principal of their Claremont office.
The opening of LJ Hooker Claremont follows the opening of LJ Hooker Bunbury, LJ Hooker North Beach and LJ Hooker Subiaco earlier this year. “Now is perfect timing to augment our team in West Australia and build on that success,” said Andrew McCulloch, National Franchise Development Manager for LJ Hooker. We will be recruiting further during the year to bolster our current teams and establish further new offices in Perth.”
Yap was the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia's Top Salesperson in 2014 and their Grandmaster Salesperson in 2013. Real Estate Business ranked her as the top sales agent for WA in their national Top 100 Agents ranking this year. She said price growth in Claremont and Cottesloe, in particular, has outperformed Perth increasing 9 per cent and 4 per cent year-on-year respectively, compared to 0.7 per cent for the wider city. "Having the opportunity to manage many of these sales, I have built a strong understanding of the area and believe it will continue to perform well in the coming months and years, as it’s a highly sought after pocket in the Perth real estate market," said Yap.
“Vivien’s appointment is testament that we are on the right track in terms of strategy and growth,” said Grant Harrod, LJ Hooker CEO.
