SA government sells one of the largest parcels of land to be released in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs.
The South Australian government yesterday announced it had agreed to sell a 19 hectare site, one of the largest parcels of land to be released in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs, to Devine Limited and Starfish Developments to develop a new $150 million residential community of more than 300 homes. The site was formerly occupied by the Magill Youth Training Centre at Woodforde.
The site has panoramic views overlooking the City and the Hills and out towards Gulf St Vincent. “Woodforde is a hidden gem whose location will offer future residents the best of both worlds with easy access to the city, eastern suburbs shopping strips and the Adelaide Hills," said Damon Nagel, managing director of Starfish Developments.
The joint venture between Devine and Starfish Developments will see the former manage the project and Starfish Developments provide built form design leadership, along with marketing and sales. Devine’s Managing Director and CEO, David Keir, described Starfish Developments as an innovative property development company. “This is the beginning of a strong development relationship that we anticipate will provide for further joint venture development opportunities in the future,” said Keir.
A development application will be lodged to the Adelaide Hills Council in the coming months.
