Architect Frank Gehry has designed some of the world's most interesting buildings, and his first Australian work has just been unveiled. The 85-year-old Canadian architect was commissioned to design the $180 million Dr. Chau Chak Wing for the Business School of the University of Technology, Sydney, which will house about 1630 business students and faculty. When the building opened last week, it was described by Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove as the "most beautiful squashed brown bag I've ever seen" while one scathing critic labelled Gehry "the Kim Kardashian of contemporary architecture: all curves, no content."
Take a look back at some of Gehry’s most striking work from around the world.
