Employment increased by 12,300 persons in Australia in October from September which is an increase of 2.1 per cent.

On the down side unemployed increased by 1,800, making a total 722,400 people without a job, or 6.4 per cent.
The unemployment rate was steady at 5.3 per cent.
Full-time employment increased by 5,800 to 8,835,600 people and part-time employment increased by 6,500 to 4,100,000 people.
Monthly hours worked in all jobs increased by 2.9 million hours to 1,786.1 million hours.
