The Domain Liveable Sydney 2016 report, which contains research by Tract Consultants and Deloitte Access Economics, ranks 555 Sydney suburbs by livability.
The study used 16 indicators to determine a suburb's livability, including access to open space, tree cover, access to schools, transport, traffic, views, proximity to jobs, and access to the beach. The study used data from the ABS and governments.
Attributes considered 'undesirable' were crime and congestion.
The top 10 suburbs were all close to the CBD, reflecting their proximity to transport, jobs, shops, and cafes and restaurants.
Sydney's top 10 most livable suburbs are:
1. Lavender Bay
2. Milsons Point
3. McMahons Point
4. Kirribilli
5. Waverton
6. Wollstonecraft
7. North Sydney
8. Millers Point
9. Elizabeth Bay
10. Darling Point
