A group of Vaucluse home owners have sold their properties for a combined $80 million.
A group of Vaucluse home owners have banded together to sell their properties to Ukraine-born Leon Kamenev for $80 million.
The sale of the four Coolong Road homes tops James Packer's $70 million sale of his former home to Chinese property developer Dr Chau Chak Wing.
The buyer of the Coolong Road properties, former Menulog owner Leon Kamenev, is expected to demolish the existing homes and build a private compound on the site.
Kamenev sold the takeaway delivery service Menulog, which he helped to found, last year for $855 million, of which he pocketed $470 million. Kamenev is now working on an educational mathematics web site called Matific. He is completely self-made, having come to Australia in 1990 speaking no English, and working in pizza delivery.
The four properties at 13, 13a, 15 and 15a Coolong Road are not heritage listed. It is expected to take at least a few months for plans to be drawn up and passed through council.
