Construction has begun at Wharf's Entrance.
Construction of the Forge residential tower at Mirvac's $200 million Wharf's Entrance development has begun. Featuring 228 apartments, the Forge residential tower, along with eleven luxury riverfront Wharfside Residences and Seven Cargo Homes, make up the Wharf's Entrance project. Situated in Melbourne's Yarra's Edge riverside community, Wharf's Entrance features not only homes and apartments, but also the Wharf Club, a luxurious state-of-the-art health and wellbeing facility to be housed beneath an inclined grass roof. Forge is due for completion in 2017. Demolition of a former wharf on the site has been completed, and construction of a new wharf and preparations for the sculptural tower are underway. The 30-level tower will stand approximately 100 metres high. Mirvac Group Executive Residential, John Carfi, said interest in Wharf's Entrance has been strong. The development aims to open Yarra's Edge to a broader demographic by offering a diverse range of living options, from one and two-bedroom artist's studios and loft apartments, to 11 four-bedroom Wharfside Residences.
