Coronis is expanding its footprint in the Queensland market, opening an office in Bayside in Brisbane’s south.

The company has chosen Bayside because it is expected to be increasingly popular as an area for families to buy and rent. It also has easy access to the Brisbane CBD, and is known for its relaxed lifestyle and amenities. 

Managing Director of Coronis, Andrew Coronis, said his company jumped at the the opportunity to merge with the Remax and Living Here offices, and rebrand the businesses to Coronis.

"It made perfect sense," said Coronis. 

"The  current demographic make up of the bayside area and the future projected growth is what made our decision to bring our unique model to the property owners of the area," he said.

Coronis said the move fits with the business's top three goals. "One, is it good for the clients and the community? Two, is it good for the team? And three, is it profitable for the business?" With the answer coming up 'yes' to all three questions, Coronis saw fit to go ahead.

Coronis said he is "bullish" about the Brisbane property market. "We are seeing a heightened demand for housing in Brisbane at the moment," adding, "this is based on looking at historical data and comparing the affordability we have in Brisbane compared to the other two main capital cities."

However, he was more cautious about the Brisbane apartment market. "The unit market is a different equation and is starting to struggle with a looming oversupply," Coronis said.

According to CoreLogic, Bayside has experienced strong capital growth over the past 24 months, including Manly which saw property prices rise 14.1% in 2015.

“The Bayside area offers a variety of properties from affordable two bedroom units through to luxury homes with sweeping views of the bay, so it’s proving to be a very competitive market for people who need to commute to either Brisbane or the Gold Coast," said Coronis.

“We’ve recruited an experienced sales and property management team with in-depth knowledge of the area which we plan to grow over the coming months as we settle into the market.”

Coronis offers a full end-to-end service. The new Bayside team specialises in sales, property management, home loans, conveyancing and building and pest services.
