Owned by Sydneysiders, Les Minardieres epitomises the French country lifestyle.
Sydney sisters and retailers Terry Berry and Kaylene Hansen are selling their countryside chateau in the Loire Valley in France. The 50-year-old property, Les Minardieres, has just been restored.
The sisters own the Double Bay store Adrienne & The Misses Bonney, which sells baby wear, children's clothes, toys, ladies nightwear and gifts. They purchased Les Minardieres, which is just 90 minutes by train to Paris, in 2013.
It had been untouched in 50 years, but has now been lovingly restored with every surface upgraded or replaced.
It features five bedrooms, spacious living areas, a contemporary kitchen, a wellness and massage room, in ground pool and a wine and cheese cave. The residence has been maintained by a local caretaker for the past 30 years.
Deborah Cullen of Colliers International is selling the property. Cullen said the residence has been set up within an Australian company structure for ease of transfer.
Les Minardieres is for sale with an asking price of AUD $2.5 million.
