The former owners of this Salisbury property restored the home themselves down to the very last detail.
When David Lane and Rachael Salmon bought 212 Henson Road, Salisbury in 2011 for $692,000, they set a new record for the suburb.
The two-storey, six-bedroom house set another record five years later when they sold the house for $925,000.
When it came time to sell the house, Lane and Salmon were determined to find an agent who would see the value they saw in the house, and chose Jackson Oram, of Coronis. "We received a letter from Jackson wanting to appraise the house and when he came through and we met him, we knew he agreed with our thinking and was willing to work hard to achieve our desired price," said Lane.
Lane and Salmon have excavated the garden and planted vegetables and fruit trees, including mulberries, lemons, oranges, herbs, strawberries, and mandarins. They updated the kitchen, and replaced anything that 'wasn't right,' from buckled walls, cracked paint, scratched floorboards, broken windows, old carpet, and the laundry.
"It had to be done perfectly, so that we knew it was safe and so that the next owners receive it in perfect condition. They deserve that," said Lane.
