11 Australian universities among top 100 architecture schools.
Australian universities rank among the world's best when it comes to studying architecture, with the University of Melbourne and the University of Sydney being included in the top 20 of the QS World University Rankings.
The QS World University Rankings released lists of the top 100 universities according to specific subject areas, with scores given based on academic reputation, employer reputation and research citations per paper. The University of Melbourne is Australia’s top ranked architecture school at 15, the University of Sydney just behind at 17, and the University of New South Wales came in 22. The three universities were all ranked before prestigious Ivy League institutions such as Stanford University (30) and Princeton University (38).
Eleven Australian universities made it into the top 100 rankings, including RMIT University (33), the University of Queensland (37), the University of Newcastle (40) and Monash University (41). Curtin University, Griffith University, Queensland University of Technology and the University of South Australia are all ranked within the top 51-100.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology was ranked as the top place to study architecture.
