Now all that has to be done is to recognise “Medium Business” and the state government discarding the totally ridiculous concept of “Payroll Tax” – in effect being taxed to employ people – and perhaps the whole country could start really thriving!
Okay. Love me or Hate me, but I’m liking this new Federal budget. Finally small business has been recognised as a contributor in the economic environment. I could have sworn that previously we didn’t exist and that there was this vacuous space between big business and welfare. So finally we get to be encouraged to start or grow a business and even being given incentives to do so! Now all that has to be done is to recognise “Medium Business” and the state government discarding the totally ridiculous concept of “Payroll Tax” – in effect being taxed to employ people – and perhaps the whole country could start really thriving!
So how is this budget going to affect the Real Estate market? Well I don’t claim to know the answer to that specifically but what I do know is that if an exudes positivity, support and acknowledgement of effort, reward to those who are contributing to our economy (as is providing employment, paying taxes, etc) then the country will start to blossom. This will create jobs for people who couldn’t previously find them and bring in revenue
I also support the pension being cut back for people who don’t really need it. The pension in my view is for people who have no other form of income at that time in their lives – not a bonus for that wasn’t previously available. Basic psychology states that you should reward good behaviour and punish bad behaviour. Therefore the crackdown on welfare cheats is most welcome as there are those who are already well off.
Rather the government should be encouraging people to build their own nest egg and not be a drain on the economy through their latter years. Accumulating some property through your lifetime is a great way of doing this.
It’s a budget of spending money in the right places to create more money to pay down the deficit that currently exists and this could only be great for the country. So my advice is to go forth and buy Real Estate with confidence – I just did and now I have a lovely tenant paying it off for me. You could probably do the same if you ignore all the negative “recession”, “bubble bursting” prattle that people are going on about. Remember we are a product of what we listen to, so if that’s what you believe, you will act in accordance and that’s what you’ll get. It’s up to you whether you make that good or bad...
