Women In Strata offer networking events, educational programs and advocacy for strata managers, business owners, assistants, accounts staff and students or those aspiring to future strata employment.
Women in Strata celebrated the end of a busy year with a sold out Christmas party on Thursday evening. In a fun night bringing together women across all areas of the strata industry, 90 women gathered to acknowledge the milestones achieved throughout the year, including the founding of a mentoring program.
Women in Strata is a networking community designed to connect women in strata management to equip them with the right knowledge and skills to forge their own place in the usually male dominated industry. Strata is a growth area within real estate and WIS is a relatively new initiative to support and promote the industry to women.
Founded in 2016 by lawyer, Amanda Farmer, owner of boutique legal practice, Lawyers Chambers on Riley. Amanda has been providing legal services to the strata industry for over 12 years and is a passionate advocate of women’s advancement in all areas of society.

Attended by Sharon Bennie from Specialist Property Recruitment, an avid property investor, Sharon is well aware that it is essential to have switched on and engaged Strata Managers, and WIS is offering a fantastic way to connect.
Sharon told SCHWARTZWILLIAMS, “Following the development boom in Sydney, Strata is a growth industry with increasing demands for enticing people in to the industry and then retaining them, by creating an environment where they can network and share.”
Partnering with “Share The Dignity”, WIS also collected over 60 donated charity bags for younger women containing ladies’ essential personal items to make the Christmas period a little more comfortable for those less fortunate.
