Melbourne the most walkable suburb in Australia

rent.com.au is incorporating walkability ratings into its property listings from a US web site called Walk Score. The ratings show Melbourne is the only suburb in Australia with a perfect walkability score of 100.

Melbourne has a perfect walkability score according to US walkability rater, Walk Score.

Ratings from a US web site that scores locations on their proximity to services and amenities will be incorporated in property listings on local rental search engine, rent.com.au.

rent.com.au has more than 80,000 rental listings on its site, and now renters will be able to check the walkability of every property they view.

Walk Score is a US site that has developed an algorithm to measure how convenient a suburb is for walking.

After crunching the numbers, rent.com.au found the Melbourne CBD is the only city in Australia to achieve a perfect 100% score. No wonder it's been rated the most liveable city in the world for six years in a row!
