A couple from Bundaberg are trying a novel approach to attract more buyers to their property.
Buy acreage in Bundaberg, and fly out to Hawaii.
John and Connie Borg of Alloway, Bundaberg are trying a novel approach to selling their property by offering a free holiday to Hawaii to the successful purchaser. Their property has been languishing on the market for more than a year.
The property is listed for sale for $520,000, and the Borgs have bought a $4,000 holiday voucher, which the buyer can use.
Their son, Dion, who is handling the sale on behalf of his parents, came up with the idea because Hawaii enjoys a similar balmy climate to the Queensland town.
“My son Dion, came up with the idea of offering a holiday to Hawaii," said John, "because it’s on the same Latitude (25) as Bundaberg.”
The Borg's are selling up in Bundaberg so they can be closer to their children in Brisbane.
The Borgs’ are selling their property through propertynow.com.au, where vendors can sell their property for a flat rate of $660, primarily through listings on Domain or realestate.com.au.
